By promoting soft tissue management during the healing period, Zimmer Plastic Temporary Abutments foster improved oral esthetics. Fabricated from a tooth-colored plastic polymer, the interim abutments may be used to fabricate cement-retained or screw-retained restorations, and can stay in the mouth for up to 180 days.

VITA ShadeAssist Digital Prescription Software from Vident

VITA�s ShadeAssist shade communication software takes the guesswork out of case planning and streamlines the process by creating a detailed prescription and case planning document that can be printed or e-mailed.

ShadeAssist can be used as a stand-alone software where VITA shades can be entered manually for case planning and patient data storage, or in conjunction with the VITA Easyshade Compact where all the data is imported automatically for a complete digital shade solution.

A patient�s shade information is first created and retained within ShadeAssist by selecting which tooth is to be treated, either by its tooth number, or from a pictorial tooth chart. Once these notes are created, additional drawing tools allow for further information and clarification.

Case-related digital photographs may also be imported into the software for optimal viewing of aesthetics and characterization considerations. The observer is able to analyze the tooth more accurately by viewing influential nuances and the effects of translucency in addition to the tooth�s base shade. Feature tools for brightness and adjustment of contrast are included.

Once all the important information, images and notes have been added, the user has the ability to print three different versions of the prescription or case planning document: one for the lab, one for the patient and one for their own files. The software also enables the dental professional to include their company name and logo, creating a letterhead type document when printed.

ExciTE F and ExciTE F DSC are high performance, fluoride-releasing, total-etch adhesives. ExciTE F, a light-curing, total etch adhesive, is indicated for cases where curing-light exposure is ensured. ExciTE F DSC, a dual-curing single component, total etch adhesive, is indicated in situations where access with a curing light may be limited or when chemically cured composites or cements are used.

ExciTE F and ExciTE F DSC enable shortened procedure times, requiring a quick, one-coat application. They produce a visible glossy layer to ensure coverage. Suitable for direct and indirect restorations, both adhesives demonstrate a low film thickness and feature an acetone-free chemistry.

ExciTE F is available in the VivaPen delivery form in addition to bottles and single dose vessels. The convenient and ergonomic VivaPen contains sufficient adhesive for approximately 120 applications. A new integrated fill-level indicator enables reliable control of remaining adhesive and the specially designed applicator tips minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

ExciTE F DSC is the only dual-cure adhesive available in hygienic single-dose vessels in two sizes: �Regular� for normal preparations and �Small/Endo� for micro-cavities and endodontic applications.

Featuring a diameter of 98 mm and a height of 14, 18 or 20 mm, the VITA In-Ceram YZ Discs are ideal for multi-unit bridge structures with long spans. Up to 40 single restorations can be milled or cut with open CAD/CAM Systems, permitting optimal use of the material.

With a flexural strength benefit of >900 MPa and an above average fracture toughness of 5.9 MPa, VITA In-Ceram YZ Discs are exceptionally strong. Made of zirconium dioxide partially stabilized with yttrium, the state of the art, biocompatible material in the VITA In-Ceram YZ Discs offers high corrosion resistance and low thermal conductivity. Ideal for long-term temporary restorations for open CAD/CAM systems, VITA CAD-Temp Discs are made of machinable polymer composite material which has the perfect blend of strength and elasticity. The esthetics and shade matching make the Discs suitable for multiple treatment indications, particularly for implant patients where long term tissue healing is prescribed. The Discs are compatible with all provisional cements, so there is no need to change yur current temporary cementation products or techniques.

VITA CAD-Waxx Discs are a millable, filler-free acrylate polymer that can be used in place of wax for producing full-contour restorations. This pliable material is easy to work with and eliminates the manual wax-up process and eliminates marginal �creep�. VITA CAD-Waxx Discs are indicated for copings and bridge frameworks using the lost wax technique and can be used for the fabrication of surgical stents. The marginal accuracy of restorations can be checked intraorally before the final restoration is produced, eliminating re-makes due to poor marginal fit.
